We had a pretty good dinner here on a Thursday evening. Ive been to several Gordon Biersch locations over the years (second time at this Pasadena location), and this one has a similar feel to the others Ive seen. The outdoor patio seating was popular that evening.

loved the cool atmosphere...nice bar, soft jazz in the background. food was good but a little high in price for what you got. Service...yikes...the waitress seemed as if she had never heard of the items on the menu...maybe she was new...she also never acknowledged me...had her eyes on my boyfriend even when taking MY order...but i would go back...

I live in Canada, so I went to the Oakville Ontario restaurant. Ive only ever been there once, but i plan to go back often. I recieved some of the best service I have ever had at GB. The beer was fantastic, i know the choices are limited but there is no need for any more the ones they have are excellent. I usually find American beer very light and watery. This beer is by far the best beer to ever come out of the states.

Gordon Biersch is a nice surprise to find in the Pasadena promenade but you may find that after a sample round of their beer that the surprise quickly fades away. I do like the brick building and their outdoor patio which affords you a veiw of happy shoppers and hunk of outdoor art. The last thing that I like about this location is the kooky bathroom which is located on the third floor and the elevator ride you need to take to get up there. You can find other reveiws by me at Brewskis and Red Car Brewery.

Not quite my idea of a brew pub. Prices are a bit on the high side. I prefer a more casual, laid-back atmosphere and I've had better beers.

They do not have a large selection of beers, because they only serve beers they brew on premises. The upside of this is that the beers they serve are all high quality; the seasonal beers are exceptional! The food is great, and the bartenders are good, but many of the waiters are jerks. (I think maybe they are angry that they couldn't get jobs at more expensive restaurants.) They don't have much pride in their service. On two occasions the waiter has been such a jerk that the mananger has comped the meal. He was very apologetic both times, and I appreciate the gesture, but I would appreciate it more if instead he trained the waiters (I say waiters because I have never had a rude waitress there) that they are in the business of satisfying the customer. Great beer, great food, mediocre atmosphere.

Pretty much nondescript place. Nothing to make it stand out. Unless it would be the clientele. Which seems to be yuppie. I'd avoid this place and go to the nearby Crown city
